Being Seen on Screen Conference

  • ACMI Melbourne Australia (map)

This one-day conference is presented in partnership with the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, one of the world leaders in research and advocacy for representation of women on screens. Actors, activists, writers, directors, academics and creators will pull the curtain back on some of the most pressing issues facing our culture and screen industries including body image, aging and diversity with a special focus on Australian created content.

Hear from special guest, advocate and two-time Academy Award winning actor Geena Davis in an exclusive keynote speech and in conversation. Beyond her influence on screen, Davis is also a leader in challenging gender balance and Hollywood power structures. The global non-profit Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media uses hard facts and data on under-representation to drive positive change across the screen industry.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the call to action for gender equality and diversity on our screens.
